About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The IJGE is a peer-reviewed, professional scientific journal. It is an international online journal in the field of globalization in education. It is initially focuses on the effects of the globalization on regional and national educational systems and pedagogical practices.

This journal is published biannually (one issue in June and one in December). The articles are to be submitted in English. IJGE publishes research studies employing a variety of qualitative and/or quantitative methods and approaches in the field of education.

The International Journal of Global Education provides educational professionals with the knowledge and information that can assist them in contributing to the critical analysis and the implementation of globalization in  education. It is also deal with the regional and national issues in education. Topics covered include: education and multicultural society, human rights in education, diversity in education, migration and indigenous minority issues, language policy, mother tongue education, curriculum and classroom practices in regional and national educational systems, and school climates.

Peer Review Process

IJGE is published biannually (one issue in June and one in December).  It initially research and scholarly papers in the fields of globalization in education. It is also deal with the regional and national issues in education. The articles should be original, unpublished, and not in consideration for publication elsewhere at the time of submission to IJGE. Manuscripts must be submitted in English. All the legal responsibilities of articles to be in IJGE belong to authors.

All papers are reviewed at least by two international members of the Editorial Board with expertise in the areas(s) represented by a paper, and/or invited reviewers specialized in the area(s) covered. The Editors reserve the right to make minor alterations to all papers that are accepted for publication.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts must be formatted to fit an A4 page. The manuscript text must be written in the form of a single column as plain text. While preparing the page setup, there must be 2.5 cm margin from top, right, bottom and left. The manuscript must be written in "Times New Roman"; font size 11; justified; single line spacing in Microsoft Word. There must be two line spaces between titles. Tables and References must be prepared in font size 9.

Title

The title of the article must be written in font size 14. The title should be in uppercase and must be centered. The title must be short and relevant to the topic. The title must not exceed 12 words.

The Exposed name and surname of the author(s) must be given in lowercase. Author names must be bold and centered on the page.

Titles and work places of author(s) and, if any, the email address and name of the university, laboratory or institution where the research was conducted, must be written font size 10 and under the name of the author(s).

Length

This is an electronic journal, the length of papers may vary. The length of your paper should be appropriate to the topic and focus.

Abstract

The abstract must be written in font size 9 and the text should be justified. Each article should include an informative, comprehensive abstract of 75 to 200 words. Immediately after the abstract, provide a minimum of 3 keywords. Keywords must be in lower case.

III. Chapters and Subchapters

Chapter titles must be written in bold uppercase, and subchapter titles must be written in bold lowercase.

Figures

Figure graphics (e.g., charts, graphs, photographs, and drawings) must be in either .GIFPNG, or .JPG format, attached to the electronic file.  Filenames for figures must be clearly labeled as Figure 1, Figure 2, etc., at the bottom of the figure, left justified, numbered in sequence, and must be referenced within the text of the article.

ALT tags will be applied to all graphics. The default tag will be the figure caption supplied by the author. Authors should provide tag text for any graphics used as links to audio or videos.

Tables

The table caption and table number must be given above the table (right aligned). The content of the table must be expressed in the title, next to the table number. The first letter of each word in the table caption must be in uppercase. Table must be written in font size 9 and must be arranged in such a way that no space is left before or after the lines. Lines used in the tables must be 1, 5 pt at most and there must be no line between rows and columns except for in categorizations on row and column headings.

References

References must be given in accordance with APA (American Psychological Association) standards. Detailed information on reference style can be found at: http://www.apastyle.org/learn/index.aspx.
